SEAd (seed) bombs are
small balls of fertile soil and clay that hold seed. Each kit contains supplies
and instruction to make at least 12 seed bombs When tossed into a field, along a roadside,
into a dune or even in your own yard. The seeds only need some rain to loosen the clay and
they will start to germinate and produce beneficial native plants.
Winter SEAd bombs (milkweed and butterfly weed) need to be created and tossed outside
between the end of December and the middle of March to allow enough time for seed
stratification.
Spring/summer SEAd bombs (a mixture of 20 different pollinator friendly annuals and
perennials) need to be tossed outside between the middle of May and the 4th of July
